The Indian Air Force has taken on the crucial responsibility of securely transporting question papers to 18 locations across the country for the NEET-UG re-examination scheduled for June 21. This new and comprehensive security plan has been prepared by the Ministry of Defence after the May 3 examination was cancelled due to allegations of a question paper leak.
To ensure the entire examination process is completely fair and transparent, authorities are exercising unprecedented caution this time. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had earlier announced the inclusion of the Air Force in this process.

Air Force aircraft will primarily be used to ensure the security of examination materials and to prevent any irregularities during transportation. Meanwhile, around five lakh security personnel are likely to be deployed nationwide to conduct the examination smoothly.
Furthermore, to prevent any kind of malpractice, AI-enabled surveillance cameras will be used and social media platforms will be closely monitored. For one of the country’s largest entrance examinations, the government has set a goal to build a leak-proof system this time to restore the lost trust of candidates.
As part of this special security arrangement, the team of teachers and subject experts preparing the question paper has been kept in complete secrecy. Formed three weeks ago, this team has not been allowed to use mobile phones or the internet. Such strict restrictions on this team will remain in force until the examination concludes on June 21.
