The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of the Bihar Police has issued a stern public advisory cautioning NEET-UG 2026 aspirants and their parents to remain highly vigilant against fraudulent phone calls and social media rumors ahead of the national medical entrance re-examination scheduled for June 21. Following the cancellation of the original May 3 test due to an alleged paper leak currently being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), authorities apprehend that cybercriminals and anti-social syndicates will attempt to exploit vulnerable students. The police notice strongly warned families not to fall prey to cyber fraudsters falsely claiming they can secretly provide official answer sheets or leaked question papers in exchange for money.

Law enforcement officials emphasized that strict criminal proceedings will be initiated against anyone found guilty of sabotaging the integrity of the high-stakes test, spreading panic, or misleading candidates. The EOU’s proactive warning is part of an ongoing statewide crackdown on organized “solver gangs,” which recently saw the arrest of notorious kingpins like Sanjeev Kumar Singh, alias Sanjeev Mukhiya, who has been linked to several high-profile recruitment and entrance exam scams across northern India. To ensure a seamless and untainted retest process, the Indian Air Force has also been roped in to securely transport the fresh question papers to various evaluation hubs across the country.

To counter potential extortion and cheating rackets, the Bihar Police have requested the public to immediately report any suspicious individual, agency, or social media message to the authorities. Candidates can directly alert the EOU by sending an email to digeou-bih@gov.in or by calling the dedicated helpline number, 9031829067. Similar security and anti-fraud advisories have also been deployed for upcoming state recruitment exams, highlighting a zero-tolerance approach toward digital malpractices and paper leaks.
