Tata AIA Life Insurance on Wednesday launched the Tata AIA Momentum Value 50 Index Fund, a unit-linked investment option combining momentum and value investing approaches to provide diversified equity exposure along with life insurance protection.
The fund selects companies from the BSE 500 universe based on momentum and value characteristics, customised to meet IRDAI regulatory requirements, and is benchmarked against the BSE 500 Momentum Value 50 Index (Customized). It will allocate 80–100% to equity and equity-related instruments and 0–20% to cash, money market instruments and mutual funds.
The New Fund Offer will remain open from September 23 to September 30, with units issued at ₹10. The fund will be available through select Tata AIA ULIP solutions. The company said the product is designed to offer a systematic, rules-based approach combining market trends and valuation opportunities.
In Aizawl, the launch comes as consumers increasingly seek investment products that combine long-term financial planning with protection. The ULIP-based structure could appeal to investors looking for equity participation alongside life insurance, although the high-risk profile and market-linked nature require careful assessment of individual risk appetite.
Harshad Patil, Chief Investment Officer, Tata AIA Life Insurance, said the multifactor approach provides consumers with a broader perspective on equity opportunities across market cycles.
Tata AIA reported total premium income of ₹38,164 crore in FY26, up 21%, while its assets under management stood at ₹1,45,589crore as of March 31, 2026. The company said its individual death claim settlement ratio was 99.45% for FY2025-26.
