Z T Lalrithangi, popularly known as Pi Mari-i, a 35-year-old teacher-turned-farmer hailing from Sangau village in Mizoram’s Lawngtlai district, has been selected for a prestigious international honor in Rome by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization as part of the “FAO 100 Women Heroes in Agrifood Systems and Rural Development” initiative marking the International Year of Women Farmers 2026.
