Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Tuesday visited his home constituency of Serchhip district, inaugurating a series of developmental projects, distributing welfare devices and promoting local sports.
During the visit, the Chief Minister distributed 1,427 ALIMCO assistive devices worth Rs 19.25 lakh to 211 elderly and disabled beneficiaries. Advancing his vision for a “Digital Mizoram,” he also launched the newly developed ‘Serchhip District Plan and Project Monitoring System’ to ensure transparent e-governance and efficient project tracking.
In a major boost to agriculture and tourism, Lalduhoma inaugurated new NABARD-funded link roads, including a vital route to the Bawngchawm Paragliding take-off point, alongside 83.03 hectares of land improvement projects.
He highly commended the contractor, Evergreen Construction and Consultancy, for finishing the high-quality concrete roads nearly a year ahead of schedule, stating such firms deserve to be honoured.
The Chief Minister concluded his busy schedule at the Serchhip MLA Cup 2026 football final. Addressing the crowd, he encouraged the youth to embrace sports as a viable career path and a vital shield against substance abuse.
