In a continuous streak of sporting success, a son of Assam has once again shone brightly at the international level. Making the residents of Nagaon proud, this student is Jyotishman Saikia, a resident of Bebejia’s Samaguri Borchuba. He is a class 6 student at a local educational institution.
Jyoti is the younger son of senior journalist of Nagaon, Jayanta Muted, and Kakali Saikia. Representing India, Jyoti participated in the two-day “Nepal City-Wide Karate-Do Championship and Nepal City-Wide Karate-Do Federation and Nepal Shito-Ryu Karate-Do Exhibition” held in Nepal under the management of Nepal’s City-Wide School. Competing in the international karate championship, he managed to secure two medals.
According to reports, Jyoti secured a silver and a bronze medal in the kumite category for the 10–11 age group in these high-level competitions. Along with completing his school education from a young age, he has been practicing karate with great dedication under the training of Pankaj Muted. By virtue of his skill, Jyoti has already managed to win several medals at the state and commercial levels.
Furthermore, having participated in the international karate championship held in Nepal for the past three consecutive years, he has successfully brought home two medals each time, including gold, silver, and bronze. This serial success of Jyoti has brought waves of joy to Nagaon, along with pride for his state. Various organizations and individuals have extended their congratulations, wishing him a bright future.
