Liver disease is gradually becoming a cause for concern. Hepatitis is spreading all over the world. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the number of people infected with Hepatitis B and C is increasing rapidly in India. China has the highest number of hepatitis cases, followed by India. According to the WHO report, in 2022, the number of hepatitis B cases in India was 2.98 crores, and hepatitis C cases were more than 55 lakhs. Hepatitis virus kills more than 3,500 people every day and the number is increasing worldwide.

According to the World Health Organization’s Global Hepatitis Report, deaths from viral hepatitis are on the rise. Looking at the report from 2019, it can be understood that at least one million people have died of hepatitis in 187 countries. This number is increasing. According to a WHO survey, more than 250 million people worldwide are living with hepatitis.

Hepatitis is a serious liver disease. Basically, it is an inflammatory disease of the liver. Hepatitis is caused by a viral infection. It has different types. Hepatitis A and E are transmitted through contaminated food and drink. And hepatitis B, C, and D are transmitted through blood. According to the World Health Organization, or WHO, more than 100 million people worldwide are infected with hepatitis every year. In teenagers and adults, the symptoms of this infection can be much more severe. More than 70% of these are likely to be jaundiced.
