Digital investment activity is gaining momentum in Mizoram, with Groww accounting for 30 per cent of the National Stock Exchange’s (NSE) active investor base in the state as of June 2026, according to data released by the investment platform. The figure translates to nearly one in every three active investors in Mizoram using Groww.

The trend reflects broader growth in digital investing across the Northeast, supported by increasing smartphone adoption, internet penetration and easier access to financial products. Groww users account for nearly 24 per cent of the NSE’s total investor base of 36.31 lakh across the eight Northeastern states. Sikkim recorded the highest Groww share at 41 per cent, followed by Arunachal Pradesh at 40 per cent and Tripura at 37 per cent.

In Mizoram, around 25 per cent of Groww investors are below 25 years, while 33 per cent are aged between 25 and 30, highlighting strong participation among younger investors. Women account for around 25 per cent of Groww’s investor base in the state.

In Aizawl,  the data indicates growing acceptance of digital investment channels among younger residents, potentially broadening participation in capital markets beyond traditional investment routes. Groww offers mutual funds, stocks, IPOs, trading, commodities, MTF, bonds and wealth management solutions, alongside advanced tools such as option chains, charts and terminal-based trading.
