The Defence Acquisition Council, which is chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, accepted a number of bids to purchase military equipment at a total estimated cost of Rs 67,000 crore. In order to acquire Thermal Imager-based Driver Night Sight for the Indian Army’s BMP fleet, Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) was granted. According to an official release, this will raise the BMPs’ capacity for night driving and give the Mechanized Infantry greater mobility and operational advantages.

According to the statement, the navy will be able to identify, classify, and eliminate threats in anti-submarine warfare missions thanks to the purchase of the Compact Autonomous Surface Craft. AoN was given the task of upgrading the SAKSHAM/SPYDER weapon system and purchasing mountain radars for the Indian Air Force. By purchasing mountain radars, the mountainous area’s air surveillance capabilities will be improved both across and along its borders. According to the statement, the air defense capability will be improved by upgrading the SAKSHAM/SPYDER system for integration with the Integrated Air Command and Control System.
