With the September keynote from Apple looming, leaks have given a fairly complete picture of what to expect from the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. And there’s talk that Apple will be focusing on its premium line-up this fall and that the standard models will be delayed in favor of the top-tier flagships, which is a bit different from the usual.

The overall design language will be familiar, but the front of the device is expected to get a welcome face-lift. To maximize the screen real estate on the 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch LTPO+ OLED panels, Apple is said to have shrunk the Dynamic Island, reducing the display cutout by almost 35%. The series will be powered by the revolutionary A20 Pro chipset under the hood. Built on TSMC’s leading-edge 2-nanometer process, the processor is said to deliver a 15 percent speed bump and a massive 30 percent jump in power efficiency, giving you the processing power needed for advanced, on-device Apple Intelligence features.

Photography fans also have plenty to look forward to. The triple 48MP camera setup is likely to include a mechanical variable aperture lens on the primary sensor, which will give users accurate, DSLR-like control over depth of field and low-light exposure. The Pro Max is expected to pack a larger 5,100–5,200mAh battery to power the upgrades, which could make it the longest-lasting iPhone yet despite a slightly thicker chassis.

Market analysts say Apple could be aggressively absorbing rising component costs to protect its market share. That means global base pricing could remain flat. The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to start at around ₹1,34,900 to ₹1,40,000 in India, where local taxes are factored into the final costs. The top-end iPhone 18 Pro Max will likely debut closer to ₹1,49,900.
