Aditya Birla Capital Limited has announced its entry into the gold loan business through its non-banking financial company (NBFC) arm, marking an expansion of its secured lending portfolio. The company plans to roll out 200–300 dedicated gold loan branches by March 2027 across high-potential markets. Over the next three years, the business aims to establish around 1,000 branches across India, creating a pan-India gold loan network. According to the company, the new offering will complement its existing retail and MSME lending operations by providing customers with a transparent, flexible and collateral-backed credit option. The expansion is expected to strengthen Aditya Birla Capital’s presence in the secured lending segment while extending its financial services reach to more customers across the country. The phased branch rollout will focus initially on markets with strong potential for gold-backed lending, before expanding the network nationwide.
