The Union Minister of Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal, today held an important interaction meeting with NGO representatives and community leaders in Mamit district of Mizoram.
During the meeting, the Minister met with leaders from major civil society organisations including MHIP, YMA, MUP, Village Council (VC), and MZP. He listened to the grievances, challenges, and concerns raised by the representatives regarding the welfare and development of the people in the district.
Addressing the gathering, Arjun Ram Meghwal stated that the Central Government remains committed to supporting the people of Mizoram and assured that all possible assistance would be extended wherever necessary. He emphasized that solving the problems faced by the public and ensuring better governance are among the government’s highest priorities. The Minister appreciated the important role played by NGOs and community-based organisations in maintaining social harmony, supporting development initiatives, and working for the welfare of the people.
The programme was also attended by Suvigya S. Chandra, Deputy Commissioner of Mamit district, and Manny Bhushan Singh, Superintendent of Police (SP), Mamit. Both officials assured the gathering that the district administration and police department are committed to addressing public grievances promptly and effectively.
