Seven months after the state’s last COVID-19 case was announced, two people in Mizoram tested positive, according to health department authorities. They say the casualties are being treated at the Zoram Medical College and Hospital (ZMCH) near Aizawl in Falkawn. The latest COVID-19 case was reported in Mizoram in October 2024, when 73 individuals in the state became infected. The state’s health department’s Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) released cautions and asked residents not to worry on Friday after the discovery of the two new cases. The IDSP advised people to use hand sanitizers, wash their hands frequently, and follow COVID guidelines. Additionally, it advised anyone with COVID-19 symptoms to take precautions and stay away from public areas.
