Tata AIA Life Insurance Company has retained its position as India’s top-ranked insurer in the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) rankings for the fourth consecutive year, while securing the 13th position globally with 1,397 MDRT-qualified advisors. Nearly half of the qualifiers, 695 advisors, are women, reflecting the company’s emphasis on building an inclusive and professionally trained agency network.

The latest rankings highlight Tata AIA’s continued focus on developing full-time financial advisors who provide guidance on insurance protection, retirement planning, wealth creation and long-term financial security. The company also ranked first in India in the category of advisors with five to nine years of MDRT qualification, with 207 members in this segment. MDRT, established in 1927, is regarded as a global benchmark for excellence in life insurance and financial services, recognising advisors for ethical conduct, professional expertise and customer service.

Chief Distribution Officer – Proprietary Business Rakesh Sharma said the recognition reflects the quality, consistency and long-term commitment of the company’s advisor network, adding that Tata AIA will continue investing in developing future-ready financial advisors through its Aura learning and digital enablement platform.

The company also highlighted its customer retention performance, stating that it ranked first in four of five persistency cohorts in FY26, an indicator of long-term policy continuation and consumer trust. As of March 31, 2026, Tata AIA reported assets under management of ₹1,45,589crore, a total premium income of ₹38,164 crore in FY26 and an individual death claim settlement ratio of 99.45%.

In Aizawl, the sustained recognition could strengthen confidence in professional financial advisory services across Mizoram, where awareness of life insurance and long-term financial planning has been steadily improving. The company’s emphasis on professionally trained advisors, digital support and greater participation of women may help expand insurance penetration and encourage more individuals in Aizawl to consider financial advisory as a viable career while boosting access to structured financial planning solutions
