Almost all the districts of South Bengal are likely to receive light to moderate rains with thundershowers for the next three days. The Alipur Meteorological Department gave such a forecast on Tuesday. It has been predicted that the skies in Kolkata will remain cloudy throughout the day on Tuesday. The city may be drenched with scattered showers in the evening. Along with rain, gusty winds of 30 to 40 km per hour may occur at some places in the districts. Two 24 Parganas, two Medinipur, two Burdwan, Howrah, Hooghly, Purulia, Jhargram, Bankura, Birbhum, Murshidabad, and Nadia are expected to receive light to moderate rain till Thursday.

However, scattered light rains may occur in southern districts until Friday. However, the situation is likely to improve on Saturday. Barring the two Dinajpur and Maldah districts of North Bengal, there is no chance of rain till Wednesday. South Bengal districts, including Kolkata, are predicted to give names to Khani in the morning due to rain. As a result, city dwellers may feel a bit cold in the spring.
