Mizoram Governor General Vijay Kumar Singh (Retd) recently met with 14 selected youth representatives and state officials at the Durbar Hall, Lok Bhavan, as part of the send-off event for the upcoming Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2026. The Governor welcomed the participants, emphasizing their roles as representatives of Mizoram at the national event scheduled for January 9-12, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. He praised the state’s vast potential and the exceptional talents of its youth, specifically referring to the 14 participants chosen for their outstanding performances.
During the meeting, Singh encouraged the young leaders to prepare thoroughly with a positive mindset and self-confidence, expressing hope for their success at the event. The participants engaged in discussions about their assigned topics and preparations, expressing gratitude to the government for the opportunity and appreciation to the Governor for his motivational guidance. They pledged to give their best efforts in representing Mizoram at the VBYLD, with the collective objective of securing recognition and prizes for their home state. The event was also attended by various officials, including Joseph Lalrinawma, Additional Secretary to the Governor, and H. Dolianbuaia, Joint Secretary of the Department of Sports & Youth Services, among others.
