Recently, Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha, who is married to actor Parineeti Chopra, highlighted the issue in a Rajya Sabha speech, saying that piracy has “plagued” both cinema and OTT platforms, In which there has been an increase of 62%. In his address, Raghav Chadha said, “Sir, piracy and unauthorized reproduction of copyrighted material has caused an annual loss of Rs 20,000 crore to the film industry and OTT industry.
