Mizoram’s School Education Minister Dr. Vanlalthlana on Friday inaugurated the Northeast region’s first-ever “New Age Tech Skills Centre” at Government Comprehensive Model School, Model Veng, Aizawl. The centre has been established under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of Bharat Forge Ltd., a globally renowned company in the field of forging and defence manufacturing. The project’s technical partner is SimuSoft Technologies, which has taken the lead in setting up the centre, providing training, and developing the curriculum. The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with the School Education Department, Government of Mizoram. The project originated from the CSR workshop organised in Aizawl in June 2025 by the Confederation of Indian Industry and the CSR Cell, Government of Mizoram.

The New Age Tech Skills Centre is the first school-level technology skills lab of its kind in Mizoram and across the Northeast region.
