Chief Minister Lalduhoma on Monday announced that the state will soon be linked to New Delhi via the prestigious Rajdhani Express. The announcement came during the Remna Ni celebration in Aizawl, commemorating 39 years of the Mizoram Peace Accord.
Lalduhoma shared that the Central Government has approved the state’s long-standing demand for direct rail connectivity with the national capital. He credited the breakthrough to his recent meeting with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, where he pressed for rail links between Aizawl and key cities like Delhi, Kolkata, and Agartala.
“The Railway Minister has complied with our request. Mizoram will get Rajdhani Express service connecting Aizawl with Delhi, as well as links to Tripura and Kolkata,” the Chief Minister said.
