A massive egg producing facility valued at Rs 20.64 crore was laid out at Thenzawl, in the Mizoram district of Serchhip. In Dilpui, a well-known tourist destination and natural lake, Chief Minister Lalduhoma also established a center for the town’s mithun (bovine) protection and lay the groundwork for a Bailey Bridge. According to Lalduhoma, who spoke at the ceremony, Mizoram uses more than Rs 22 crore worth of eggs a year, and the state lacks large production farms.
Lalduhoma had emphasized the necessity of setting up massive egg production farms in Mizoram during the January plenary session of the North Eastern Council (NEC), which was held in Shillong, Meghalaya. When the mega farm is finished, it should yield 70,000 eggs every day, he claimed. Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) lawmaker V. Malsawmtluanga, Rural Development Minister Lalnilawma, and Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Minister C. Lalsawivunga attended the ceremony.
