Chief Minister Lalduhoma inaugurated the Micro and Small Entrepreneurs Excellence Project and the Mizoram Entrepreneurs Development Forum in Mizoram, aimed at enhancing the capabilities of MSME owners and supporting their expansion efforts. This initiative, organized in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry – Centre for Excellence on Employment & Livelihood (CII CEL) and the Government of Mizoram, seeks to leverage the strong skillset and craftsmanship within the Mizo community. The Chief Minister noted the achievements of Mizo youths in the IndiaSkills competitions, highlighting the potential for growth in the MSME sector. He stressed the importance of empowering entrepreneurs through the government’s Handholding Scheme and recognized the determination of MSME owners in building their livelihoods. The project encourages continuous improvement to remain competitive in a globalized economy and is supported by the Volvo Group’s CSR initiative, allowing local MSMEs to participate at no cost. Training for 70 selected participants will commence as part of the one-year program, which also aims to foster engagement with industry experts. The ceremony was chaired by Shalina Thapa of CII, with contributions from GV Rao and Shivek Gurubaran.
