Mizoram Chief Secretary Pu Khilli Ram Meena, IAS, visited Mumbai from August 7 to 11, 2025, marking the first such visit by a Mizoram Chief Secretary to Mumbai Mizoram House since its establishment in 2005. On arrival, he was received by Deputy Resident Commissioner Pu H. Lalruatliana. During his stay, Pu Khilli Ram Meena toured the Mizoram House premises, met with staff members, and visited patients staying there, offering words of encouragement and wishing them a speedy recovery.

As part of his visit, Pu Khilli Ram Meena called on Maharashtra Chief Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Meena, IAS, at his residence. The two discussed the proposed construction of a Mizoram House in Navi Mumbai. Responding to the request, the Maharashtra Chief Secretary contacted the Managing Director of CIDCO and urged follow-up on Mizoram’s pending extension permission application.

Pu Khilli Ram Meena also raised the issue of improved coordination between Tata Memorial Hospital and Mizo cancer patients. Shri Rajesh Kumar Meena assured that he would request the hospital authorities to put suitable arrangements in place to better assist patients from Mizoram.
