The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara marks the company’s debut in the Indian electric vehicle segment as its first battery-electric offering. Initially showcased as the eVX concept at Auto Expo 2023 and later revealed in production form at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the e Vitara is built on the dedicated HEARTECT-e platform. This platform features a flat-floor design for enhanced cabin space, a reinforced high-voltage safety structure, and compact overhangs for better efficiency and interior packaging. The electric SUV is set to launch in India on December 2, 2025, with deliveries expected shortly after.

Pricing is anticipated between ₹17 lakh and ₹22 lakh (ex-showroom). The e Vitara will offer two battery options: a 49 kWh 2WD variant producing 142 bhp and 189 Nm, and a 61 kWh version available in 2WD (172 bhp, 189 Nm) and 4WD (torque of 300 Nm). The larger battery claims a range of up to 500 km.

Inside, the cabin boasts a modern layout with squared air vents, a two-spoke steering wheel, and a dual-screen setup combining a 10.1-inch infotainment system with a digital cluster. Features include ventilated seats, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, and EPB with auto-hold.
