India’s furniture and interiors market is set to see faster innovation and improved product quality as INDIAWOOD 2026 returns from February 26 to March 2 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), Bengaluru. Organised by NürnbergMesse India with support from EUMABOIS, the 26th edition will be the largest in the event’s history.
The exhibition will bring together over 1,000 brands from more than 50 countries, attract over 90,000 industry professionals and span 85,000 square metres, marking a 15 per cent increase over the previous edition. For consumers, this expansion reflects rising demand for well-designed, durable and sustainably manufactured furniture and interior products, aligned with India’s Viksit Bharat vision focused on manufacturing-led growth.
Momentum in the consumer market is expected to strengthen further as the India–EU Free Trade Agreement, described by policymakers as the “mother of all deals”, moves forward. The pact is likely to reduce tariffs, boost exports of engineered wood products, and enable smoother inflows of advanced European machinery—helping Indian manufacturers deliver global-quality products at competitive prices.
INDIAWOOD 2026 will showcase compact door and fitting systems, advanced surface technologies, nature-inspired finishes, and automation-led smart manufacturing. Sustainability-focused solutions, certified wood and low-emission materials will also be highlighted. Co-located platforms such as Wood+ in Architecture & Design and the India Mattresstech & Upholstery Supplies Expo underline how innovation across the value chain is shaping a consumer market projected to reach USD 40 billion by 2030.
