Eicher Trucks & Buses, a business unit of VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV), has strengthened its presence in the Northeast with the inauguration of a new 3S dealership, Joseph Automobiles, in Aizawl, Mizoram, expanding its sales, service and spare parts network in the region.
Strategically located along National Highway 6, the dealership will cater to transporters and fleet operators across Mizoram, particularly along the Aizawl-Champhai-Zokhawthar corridor connecting to the Myanmar border. The facility features multiple service bays, including two dedicated accident repair bays, to improve service accessibility and vehicle uptime.
The expansion comes amid transportation demand driven by the movement of agricultural and horticultural produce, including ginger, turmeric and pineapple, besides construction materials and other commodities. The dealership will also support construction companies and regional logistics operators with genuine spare parts and after-sales services.
Sumit Dewan, SVP, Customer Service and Network Strategy, VECV, said the facility would enable faster service response, strengthen uptime support and provide a better ownership experience for customers across Aizawl and neighbouring markets.
Eicher offers trucks ranging from 3T to 55T GVW and buses with seating capacities of 12 to 72 passengers.
