At the CM’s Conference Hall, Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma unveiled the book-form Annual Report 2024-25 of the Mizoram State Project Monitoring Committee. CM Lalduhoma said he was pleased with the Committee’s work and thought their efforts were excellent. “The Project Monitoring Committee was created to guarantee accountability and transparency in development projects for the people of Mizoram,” the Chief Minister stated. The Committee is an inclusive group that acts as the public’s watchdog over development projects, representing registered parties and community organizations from all across the state.

“We are working for the betterment of our State, and the progress achieved so far is commendable,” Lalduhoma added, urging members to stay dedicated. Remain optimistic and don’t be scared of anyone, including members of the ruling party. The government will support you no matter what. Er. Lalthanzuala Ralte, Member Secretary, introduced the report and clarified that the Planning Department had supplied a consistent Work Profile format for the projects that the Committee had been monitoring.

The Committee inspects ongoing projects through field visits, evaluating their execution, quality, use of resources, cost, and difficulties. To ensure accountability, findings are thoroughly documented and conversations are held with nodal departments, executing agencies, and contractors both before and after the visit. Of the 47 initiatives the Committee tracked during the 2024–25 fiscal year, 42 are covered in depth in this year’s Annual Report.
