Boys have again outshone girls in the class -12 board examination securing 78.32 pass per cent against that of girls’ 77.79 per cent.
Last year, boys had secured 79.89 pass per cent and girls got 77.64 per cent.
Altogether 78.04 per cent out of 11,824 students have passed in Arts, Science and Commerce streams as per the results declared by Mizoram Board School Education (MBSE) on Tuesday.
Last year’s total pass percentage was 78.66 per cent.
In all the three streams 9,227 students, including 4,953 girls have successfully cleared the examinations.
While 2,545 students, including 1,389 girls were declared failed, 52 students got a chance for compartmental examination, which is to be notified later.
Of the 8,467 appeared in the examination in Arts stream, 6,749 students have successfully passed registering a pass percentage of 79.71, while 72.69 per cent out of 2,808 students passed in Science stream and 79.60 per cent out of 549 students passed in Commerce stream.
15 students figured in the top-ten list in Arts stream, while 11 and 12 students figured in top ten merit list in Science and Commerce streams respectively.
