Assam Rifles held an awareness workshop on Drug Abuse Identification and Counseling in Lungpuk village, Siaha district, as part of their ongoing efforts to promote community welfare and youth empowerment. The program’s objectives were to inform youth about the risks of substance usage and give them the tools they need to live drug-free lives. The awareness program is attended by twenty-five neighborhood adolescents. Attendees learned about the early warning signs of drug addiction, the negative impacts it has on one’s physical and mental health, and the societal repercussions of substance usage.

The significance of community and family support for recovery and rehabilitation was emphasized. In order to encourage the young to participate in sports, skill development, and educational possibilities as constructive alternatives to substance addiction, a motivational session was also held. Village officials, young people from the area, and community leaders all actively participated in the event, reinforcing their shared commitment to ending drug addiction in the area.
