
The Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) Legislature Party convened an urgent meeting to address the deteriorating state of the NH-6 highway that connects Kawnpui and Sairang. This meeting, presided over by PWD Minister Vanlalhlana, saw the participation of 16 ministers and MLAs. The party voiced its apprehension regarding the highway’s poor condition and the impact it has on public life. They called upon the Home Minister to contemplate the deployment of additional police personnel to handle the situation more effectively.
Furthermore, the ZPM Legislature Party has pledged ₹3 lakh in aid to assist stranded truck drivers in the vicinity of Kolasib. The government has directed the NHIDCL to persist in their diligent efforts and allocate state funds to ensure the prompt completion of necessary repairs. In response to the ongoing crisis, the ZPM Legislature Party has established a Crisis Management Committee to oversee the situation.
