Ajay Kumar Bhalla, the governor of Manipur, presided over a security meeting today to assess the state’s general security status at Raj Bhavan in Imphal. The governor reviewed the state’s security arrangements, paying particular attention to border regions, and evaluated the state’s present law and order situation during the meeting. The Governor gave the state Director General of Police (DGP) instructions to put the citizens’ safety and security first.
In order to maintain law and order, he also called on Army and paramilitary officers to work in tandem with the administration. Senior officers from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Border Security Force (BSF) attended the meeting, along with Kuldiep Singh, the Security Advisor to the Government of Manipur; Rajiv Singh, the DGP; and Major General Ravroop Singh, the Inspector General of Assam Rifles (South).
