The whole world is suffering from diabetes, or high blood sugar. Millions of people of different ages across the world are currently suffering from diabetes. And due to diabetes, various problems related to the heart, kidneys, nerves, and inflammation are increasing day by day. However, a recent study published by the Indian Council of Medical Research said that women who have been suffering from diabetes for a long time have a higher risk of developing uterine cancer. So there is a need to be aware of this.

Where is the link between diabetes and uterine cancer?
First of all, having diabetes causes hormonal changes in the body. Neither deficiency nor excess secretion of the insulin hormone is good for the uterus. Estrogen hormone secretion can also increase when the amount of insulin hormone increases. As a result, the rate of cell division inside the uterus also increases. In the future, which increases the risk of cancer.

Second, increased production or secretion of the hormone insulin can lead to weight gain. This also increases the risk of uterine cancer. Apart from this, diabetes has a major role in the increase in inflammatory problems in the body.

What is the best way to prevent uterine cancer?
The first and foremost condition to prevent uterine cancer is to control blood sugar levels. Apart from this, many diseases can occur due to excess body weight or obesity. Weight can be kept under control through diet and regular exercise.

Women who smoke also need to be careful about this. Having diabetes increases the risk of uterine cancer in smokers.

If you want to prevent cancer, it is important to get tested. After the age of 25, it is best to have a pap smear every three years.
