Naxalbari, June 27: Darjeeling District Committee of Paschimbanga Rajya Pratibha Sammilani felicitated students with special needs who successfully passed the Secondary and Higher Secondary (HS) examinations.
The program organized at the Assistant School Inspector’s office in Naxalbari on Thursday included distribution of certificates, financial grants, wheelchairs, tricycles and blind sticks.
Ramprasad Bhattacharya, Secretary of the organization, stressed its commitment to integrate persons with special needs into the mainstream society through vocational training initiatives.
DEO of Siliguri Educational District Sarva Shiksha Mission Shreoshi Ghosh, SI of School, Naxalbari Chiranjeet Ghosh, Secretary of Paschimbanga State Representative Assembly Samya Ganguly and other dignitaries were present in the program.
