Hulladek Recycling Pvt Ltd partnered with the Mizoram Pollution Control Board (MPCB) to host the E-Waste Management Summit 2024 in Aizawl. The event drew attention to the critical issue of electronic waste in North Eastern India, uniting various stakeholders under one roof.
Distinguished guests, including Pu Joseph H. Lalramsanga, Commissioner of AMC, and Pu Liankima Lailramsanga, Chairman of MPCB, underscored the urgency of effective e-waste management. “This summit marks a pivotal step toward achieving sustainable practices in the region,” stated Lailung. Hulladek’s Founder, Nandan Mall, echoed this sentiment, announcing the introduction of an e-waste collection bin at the MPCB office to streamline disposal efforts.
Mizoram PCB Chairman said “Hulladek Recycling is the first company to put their heart and soul into solving North East’s waste problems. If we do not support them we might not get any opportunity to save our state’s environment for the future.”
The summit covered key topics such as the current state of e-waste management, new regulatory frameworks, and Hulladek’s initiatives tailored for the region. Moreover, the company unveiled plans to expand into new waste categories, including automotive catalytic converters and lithium-ion batteries. By establishing e-waste collection networks across schools and offices, Hulladek aims to empower communities in responsible e-waste disposal, paving the way for a greener future in Mizoram.
