On October 29th, Mizoram Governor graced the 9th National Ayurveda Day event in Aizawl. The Health & Family Welfare Minister of Mizoram, Pi Lalrinpuii, attended the event titled ‘Ayurveda Innovations for Global Health’ as the guest of honour. Speaking at the event, Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati emphasized that ayurveda is more than just a type of healthcare. For thousands of years, it has served as the foundation of Indian wellbeing. With a holistic approach based on mental, physical, and spiritual harmony. He stated that Ayurveda is getting global recognition for treating common illnesses. Integrating Ayurveda with Mizoram and Northeast India’s rich biodiversity and traditional knowledge can help to strengthen the healthcare system.
Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati stated that the mix of Ayurveda, modern knowledge, and sophisticated methods has the potential to assist not only India, but the entire world. He highlighted the initiatives of the Ministry of AYUSH, mentioning that over 100 Ayurvedic items had been exported to foreign nations. Health and Family Welfare Minister Pi Lalrinpuii emphasized Ayurveda’s importance in tackling modern health issues. She also stated that attempts are underway to incorporate medicinal plants into the government’s hand-holding strategy.
