Fuel Crisis

Mizoram’s oil tanker drivers have halted services due to a fuel shortage on the Sairang-Kawnpui section of NH-6/306, which is damaged and unsafe for plying. The Mizoram Oil Tanker Drivers’ Association (MOTDA) has announced that services will be halted until the road is repaired. Long queues of vehicles were observed outside most filling stations in Aizawl, as news of the indefinite strike spread. The state has a standing order with filling stations to control oil distribution during shortages.
