The government of Mizoram has granted approval to four companies to set up ginger processing facilities within the state. The companies that have received approval are Sjar Consulting Private Limited from Uttar Pradesh, Opickpure Organic Pvt. Ltd from Himachal Pradesh, AV Biotech from Rajasthan, and the local firm Lushai Organic. The state has designated ginger as its primary crop. A committee will draft a Memorandum of Understanding and oversee the necessary land, power, and water supply for these companies.
