Mizoram Governor Vijay Kumar Singh has called on young civil service officers to adopt innovative approaches and focus on citizen-centric governance as they prepare to take on crucial administrative roles in the state. Speaking to 34 officer trainees from the Mizoram Civil Service, Mizoram Information Service, and Mizoram Finance & Accounts Service, Singh emphasized the significance of sincerity, dedication, and adaptability in public service.
Addressing the trainees during a session in Aizawl, the governor described the training period as a critical stage for honing skills that will serve as the foundation for their careers. He underscored the need to formulate practical and effective policies that reach the grassroots level, ensuring that governance directly benefits communities.
Singh also highlighted the role of digitization in improving efficiency and transparency in administration. He encouraged the trainees to continually upgrade their skills, adapt to emerging challenges, and act as “change-makers” in their respective departments, earning recognition through committed service and tangible contributions to society.
