Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma inaugurated the Aizawl Peak Resort Skywalk at Hangi Lunglen Tlang on February 18, marking a significant milestone in the state’s tourism development. The Aizawl Peak Resort, managed by Er. H. Ginzalal, Adviser to the Chief Minister (Technical), and his family, was lauded by Lalduhoma for their dedication and efforts. “Their hard work and perseverance have contributed greatly to Mizoram’s growing tourism sector,” the CM stated.

Built by Nail India Adventure Private Limited, Pune, the skywalk is constructed with 30mm toughened glass panels, stretching 10 meters in length and 2.24 meters in width. It can support up to 135 people, with each square meter of glass accommodating seven individuals.NIT Mizoram conducted safety inspections and confirmed the structure could hold 150 people weighing 100 kg each. However, for safety and crowd management, only 20 visitors will be allowed at a time. A 9,500 kg sandbag test further validated its stability.

The skywalk opens to the public at 8 PM, with an entry fee of ₹100 per person. This new attraction is expected to draw more tourists to Aizawl and enhance the city’s tourism landscape.
