The Assam Rifles and Excise and Narcotics Department recently initiated a vicinity Domination Patrol on the Zote-Bulfek road in response to specific intelligence regarding the trafficking of Heroin No. 4 in the general vicinity of Zote, Champhai. Heroin No. 4, weighing 30 grams, was found during a comprehensive search after the squad stopped one person who was traveling along the road. Assam Rifles and the Excise and Narcotics Department arrested two suspects in a second occurrence in the same region and found Heroin No. 4, which weighed 36.2 grams. According to a news release, the arrested people and the seized drugs have been turned over to the Excise and Narcotics Department for additional legal action.
