In two different raids on Wednesday and Thursday, Manipur Police seized a sizable shipment of illicit alcohol. The state’s Churachandpur district was the site of the operations. The district’s booze sales and use are now strictly regulated by Churachandpur Police. Teams from Churachandpur Police conducted operations that resulted in the confiscation of a significant amount of Distilled Indigenous Country (DIC) and Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL). According to reports, the whiskey that was recovered was worth Rs 1.58 lakhs and was taken from the town area of Churachandpur’s district headquarters.
Five vendors from five different areas were reportedly seized on Wednesday afternoon, and on Thursday, the police made a seizure in the Tuibuang Bazar region. Large quantities of distilled indigenous liquor, beer, rum, and whiskey were among the confiscated goods. Authorities reportedly disposed of the confiscated alcohol on Thursday. It should be mentioned that the district government has taken a strong stand against the selling of alcohol and is taking the appropriate measures against individuals found to be engaged.
