Four individuals, including a Myanmarese national, have been apprehended with narcotics valued at Rs 31 crore during distinct operations near the Indo-Myanmar border in Mizoram. These operations were executed by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in collaboration with the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) of Mizoram and the State Excise and Narcotics Department. The coordinated efforts resulted in the seizure of 36.434 kg of methamphetamine and 905 grams of heroin across three different sites along the Myanmar border. The NCB has encouraged the public to report any drug-related information via the MANAS Helpline, which is toll-free at 1933, assuring that the identities of informants will remain confidential.
