In preparation for the forthcoming 12th General Election to the Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC), 2025, the District Election Officer (DEO), Shri Donny Lalruatsanga, convened a meeting with all Nodal Officers at his Office Chamber today. At the outset, Shri Donny Lalruatsanga expressed his appreciation to all Nodal Officers for their dedication and urged them to carry out their assigned duties with utmost sincerity and efficiency.
He emphasized that all preparatory works must be completed on time and in strict adherence to the instructions issued by the State Election Commission (SEC). The DEO further highlighted the importance of ensuring that the upcoming election is conducted in a free, fair, and peaceful manner, without any lapses.During the meeting, Shri Collin Hlychho, Election Officer (EO), reviewed the overall responsibilities, progress, and coordination among nodal officers. He instructed them to carry out their duties effectively and to complete all necessary arrangements within the stipulated timeframe.
At the meeting, it was decided that four main nodal officers would be designated: Sr. Executive Engineer (PWD), Sr. Executive Engineer (PHE), Executive Engineer (P&E) and DEO for Polling Station arrangements. A total of 18 Nodal Officers have been appointed for various tasks related to the upcoming election. All nodal officers were present during the meeting, which concluded with closing remarks and words of encouragement from Shri Donny Lalruatsanga.
