Britannia NutriChoice, a prominent Indian biscuit brand, has launched its NutriPlus app as part of its health-tech venture. The NutriPlus app by Britannia NutriChoice is designed in partnership with Aktivo Labs, a pioneering technology company with expertise in building evidence-based health and wellbeing solutions.
The NutriPlus app, developed by Aktivo Labs’ team of doctors and scientists, uses evidence-based technology to assist users in their pursuit of well-being. Aktivo Labs technology enables continuous monitoring of health metrics, enabling early detection of potential health issues. This early identification of health risks allows for interventions to prevent disease progression, reducing the overall burden on healthcare systems. The NutriPlus app offers a daily NutriScore, a one-score indicator based on exercise and sleep duration, providing a comprehensive overview of health status. It identifies areas for improvement and provides a clear understanding of wellness journey.
The app doesn’t require wearables, requiring only a smartphone for tracking physical activity and nutrition. It also provides a weekly health assessment, providing tailored insights for users. Prof. Richard Siow, Director of Ageing Research at King’s College London, UK, commented, “The collaboration between Britannia and Aktivo Labs to develop the groundbreaking NutriPlus app has the potential to raise the awareness of millions in India about lifestyle interventions which can assist in reducing the risk of age-related NCDs.”
