Ather Energy Ltd., one of India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturers, is intensifying its focus on the North East with the launch of five new outlets across the region and the introduction of the Mizo Warp Club in Aizawl. This new initiative aims to recognize early EV adopters in Mizoram and foster a growing community of electric vehicle enthusiasts.
With Mizoram at the forefront of EV adoption in the region, Ather sees vast potential in the state’s scooter-centric market. “Mizoram is the flagbearer of EV adoption in the North East,” said Saurabh Sharma, Head of Marketing at Ather Energy. “Our scooters, like the 450 series and Rizta, meet the evolving mobility needs here.”
Aizawl, known for its affinity for performance scooters, is witnessing a rising interest in EVs, especially family-friendly models like the Rizta. Priced from ₹1.10 lakh (ex-showroom), these scooters are gaining traction among young professionals and families seeking cost-effective and eco-friendly alternatives. Ather’s aggressive plans include installing 60 fast chargers across the NE and offering benefits like an 8-year battery warranty and FlexiPay financing options, making the EV transition smoother and more accessible for customers across Mizoram.
