Amit Sharma, Secretary to Government, Cooperation & ICT Departments, Government of Mizoram, led a special blood donation drive in the capital city of Mizoram, along with Cooperation Minister P.C Vanlalruata, as part of the International Year of Cooperation (IYC) events. Sharma appreciated the efforts of the RCS Office in organizing the initiative and urged similar camps to be replicated in all districts of Mizoram with active participation from Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society members. He shared that the drive reminded him of his college and university days in J&K, where he used to lead voluntary blood donation camps. Cooperation Minister P.C Vanlalruata emphasized the inherent Mizo culture of donating and helping others, which was reflected in the blood donation camp. RCS Mizoram John L.T Sanga expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and assured that many innovative initiatives under the visionary leadership of Sharma and Secretary, Cooperation Department would be organized in the future. The blood donation drive was organized in the complex of Registrar Cooperative Societies Headquarters in Aizawl, with around hundred donors registered.
